SOE has officially announced that its Player Studio program is now available in Planetside 2.

The Player Studio allows creative and talented gamers the ability to make custom in-game items that can then be sold to other PS2 players for real cash. In PS2 the studio will allow players to create decals, hood ornaments, camo patterns, vehicle canopy overlays, and helmets (examples below.) If a design is picked up by SOE for use in its online store, the creator will get 40% of the net profits via an actual check for their work.

If this sounds like a program that interests you, then you should read over the FAQ and official rules here. The only restriction is that you’re at least 18 (or have a guardian willing to sign), and live in the US. At this time the program is only being offered to US gamers, but plans are in place to take it worldwide. To sign up for Player Studio you can begin the process here.
