Microsoft if ramping up the promotional machine for Bioware’s Mass Effect 3 release in March with a new Mass Effect 3 Mission Command promotion on Facebook.  I’ve checked this deal out, and it seems very similar to what Epic and MS did for Gears of War 3.  Basically you hound your friends and followers to sign up for the Xbox Facebook page, and in turn if enough gamers do so various in-game, and Avatar awards will be unlocked.  For example, the first mission tasks you with sharing the ME 3 Mission Command page with your Facebook friends.  Once you send out the spam on your feed you then become eligible for a free Normandy avatar prop if enough suckers, I mean your friends, follow suit.
