Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon Officially Announced for Late 2016

Speculation over the leaked information from earlier this week can now be tossed aside in favor of an official announcement: Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon are real, and they’re coming this year.

Pokemon‘s official Twitter page tweeted the announcement yesterday morning, posting a picture of the logos for both games. Shortly after, they revealed a trailer by the same means. While there’s not much footage of the two new additions to the wildly famous IP, the trailer does well to celebrate the 20 years that Pokemon has been around.

Both games will be coming in late 2016 in nine languages; that’s unfortunately the only official information. Stay tuned for more news as it develops.

Until then it seems we’ll all be watching the trailer on repeat.
