“Pray for Me” Track From Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Black Panther’ Soundtrack Released

Black Panther is trending positively with critics, and outside of some bozos trying to influence its Rotten Tomato score, it feels like most of the world is amped up to catch it in theaters on February 16th. If you’ve been watching the trailers and teasers you’ve probably heard a bit of Kendrick Lamar’s soundtrack, which is sounding quite awesome, and much different from what we’ve come to expect from a Marvel movie. Well today, a full track from the album has been released, and its synth-laden beat and over sound design is pretty damn catchy.

The song is called “Pray for Me”, and it feature Lamar and The Weekend. Based on the full track list (below) it looks like this song will run during the credits, which makes sense since most movies usually opt for a chart-centric song to close out a film. The soundtrack hits retail on February 9th, so it will be out a week before the film hits theaters in the U.S..

You can listen to the song above.
