Disney has released a new trailer for Toy Story 4, and if you’re a fan of the franchise, love playing with toys, or have kids of your own, then good luck not getting a bit emotional over it.
Believe it or not, but I just recently caught up on the Toy Story franchise. I was a teen when it first started, so my priorities were focused on the awkwardness of high school and what most teenage boys tend to think about, girls. With that being said, after watching Toy Story 2, and Toy Story 3, I’m ashamed that it took me this long to watch them, but I also think delaying them until I was a Dad myself helped to cement their emotional impact on my life. I’m also a huge collector of toys and literally still play with them thanks to my toy photography hobby, so toys have a huge influence on my life.
Anyway, the trailer gives you a great feel for what Woody and the gang will be getting into this time around. It looks like it’s Woody’s turn again to get rescued as he tries to rescue a new toy. There’s definitely a theme with the Toy Story franchise, and while it may be a bit repetitive, each film still manages to shine on its own and leave you feeling something inside.
The film hits theaters on June 21, 2019.
About Toy Story 4
Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy. Directed by Josh Cooley (“Riley’s First Date?”) and produced by Jonas Rivera (“Inside Out,” “Up”) and Mark Nielsen (associate producer “Inside Out”), Disney•Pixar’s “Toy Story 4” ventures to U.S. theaters on June 21, 2019.
