Tearaway is the latest gem from Media Molecule, the makers of Sony’s exclusive Little Big Planet series. Tearaway is a PS Vita title that features the same type of creativity as LBP, but it’s more of a traditional 3D platformer than a game focused on building your own worlds.
The mobile title set in a papery world stars iota, who is on a special mission to deliver a very important message. It’s your task as the player to help him along his way by utilizing many of the unique abilities that the Vita has to offer. You can “reach into” the game by using the rear touchpad on the Vita, you can jump using the touchpad, and you can steer around the world by titling the handheld unit. Of course you can also use the traditional button controls that Sony’s portable offers, but where’s the fun in that. You know if it’s a Media Molecule title it’s going to be packed full of creativity and imaginative gameplay, so there’s a great chance that using the special controls will actually make the experience more engaging and enjoyable. Be adventerous!
If you head on down past the break you can preview the latest screenshots from the game, as well as some character renders for Tearaway’s cast. Tearaway hits retail on November 22, 2013 exclusively for the PS Vita.
