I know today is April Fool’s, and when you read this post’s title you probably figured it was a joke. I did too when the press release came in, but Bethesda is doubling down and confirming that the contents of the trailer above are indeed true, and not an April Fool’s Day joke.
One can never know on this day of silliness, so I’m still not going to claim that Rage 2 gamers will be able to enable a “He’s on Fire” cheat code that will in turn toggle Tim Kitzrow announcements, NBA Jam-style, for each and every kill shot you make, but that’s what the trailer above is showing off. If this is true, which again, on Bethesda’s YouTube channel, the account commented that it was indeed real, then this just adds a whole new layer of awesome to the game.
One of the most iconic aspects of NBA Jam was Tim’s one-liners that he’d bark out after you pulled off an amazing move, so having him do so for kill shots in a game like Rage 2 just sounds like gravy.
All you have to do to get this cheat code is believe that it is real, and pre-order the game, which is launching on May 14th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
