Ron Chan’s Carrie Fisher Art Tribute Cheekily Captures the Essence of Her Soul

Yes Star Wars fans you haven’t been living in a dream world where Princess Leia actress Carrie Fisher died, it happened, and the world is worse off because of it. Although, if anything else, Fisher’s passing has spurned a massive outcry of fan love and tributes, namely in written or artistic forms.

One artist who has captured the essence of Carrie’s snarkiness while also honoring her most iconic film character is Ron Chan. Chan is a comic book and storyboard artist who is currently working on the PvZ series for Dark Horse Comics, and his art tribute to Fisher just stands out thanks to its simplicity and scope. Seeing Fisher as General Leia flicking off Starkiller Base while holding Carrie’s dog Gary just perfectly sums up the type of strong woman Carrie truly was.

If you like the image make sure to hit up Chan’s Twitter link above to see more of his sketches. Also, I had to include his Cassian touching Jabba sketch, which stems from an interview with Diego Luna who said he’d like to touch Jabba the Hutt.
