Ron Howard Provides ‘Arrested Development’ Style Retelling of ‘A New Hope’

This week The Star Wars Show crew teamed up with Ron Howard, the Director of the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story. Ron provides plenty of behind-the-scenes takes on Solo while doing his spot on the show, but the real gem is a skit The Star Wars Show team cooked up for him.

In the skit, Howard reprises his Narrator role from Arrested Development to retell the main events of Star Wars: A New Hope. The parody doesn’t skimp, and even kicks off the recap with an Arrested Development style opening and edit. Luckily I just got into watching Arrested Development on Netflix, so this little skit makes much more sense to me than if I had never watched the show.

It’s all being done to promote the show’s new season on Netflix, but there’s also a bit of shameless Solo promotion contained within the skit, so Howard is doubling dipping when it comes to promoting projects he’s involved with.
