Ron Howard Shares That ‘Solo’s’ Edit is Locked and A New Trailer Is Coming

After catching a bit of grief on Twitter this week, as well as in the news, Ron Howard shared a few insightful tweets yesterday about his Solo: A Star Wars Story project. It was reported that the Director was still working on the film’s final edit as of this week, which turned out to be true after he responded to a fan on Twitter.

Howard shared that he was going in to finalize the film’s score, to which a fan balked at for being way too late in the game to still be working on the film. Howard responded by saying that the film’s edit is locked and scored, and that he and his crew are right on schedule.

Another fan came to his defense and reminded other fans that films these days are sometime not completed until a few days before release, and that everyone should chill.

Soon after the above tweet, another fan asked Howard if another Solo trailer would be released before May 25th, to which he replied that there would.

Finally, while the film’s edit is locked, it appears that Howard and his VFX crew still have a bit of work to do, or at least need to complete a final review of the special effects, because he shared another shot from the editing bay earlier this morning.

Everything is falling into place it appears, so stay tuned for the new Solo trailer, which I honestly believe will be released this weekend during the Final Four, or at least by mid-April at the latest.
