Rumors Hint at Fall 2013 Release for Xbox 720/Xbox 3/Xbox Next

The reputable site of CNET reported yesterday that they have verbal confirmation from an Xbox insider that the next Xbox (no official name yet, but the industry is going with 720, #3, or the Next) will in fact be shipping towards the end of 2013.  Obviously this announcement is still word of mouth, but I’m leaning towards it being true.  I just don’t see Microsoft trying to force out the 360 successor in 2012, and if 2013 is indeed the launch date for the next Xbox it’ll be more in line with the company’s 8 year proposed life span of the 360.

All I know is that for the first time ever I’ll be plunking down a sh*tload of money to reserve this gadget when it does finally get released.  I’m at a point in life where I have funds to do so, and I’m tired of dealing with hard to find tech items on the black market.  Until MS confirms or denies it, I’d go ahead and pencil in November of 2013 as the month when the Xbox 360’s successor will grace your game cave.  You’ve been getting ready for next next-gen console time…
