Sam Jackson Asks Why the US is Robo-Phobic in New Robocop Trailer

Sony has released the second official trailer for the Robocop reboot, which features a brilliant pitch from Samuel Jackson about the merits of a robotic police force. This reboot has had some backlash over its PG-13 rating, which is slightly disappointing considering how violent the original was, but quite frankly this trailer offers hope for the project. The futuristic world depicted in the trailer is full of rad looking technology, with both the AI controlled robots, and Robocop himself looking extremely robo-y.

I have a new found sense of hope for this reboot, solely based on the two trailers released so far, and while it may not be the Robocop of my youth, I still think it has potential to entertain fans of gritty science fiction. Head on down below to watch the newest trailer, and try to not be so robo-phobic.

Robocop hits theaters on February 12, 2014.
