Saudi MS Exec May Have Revealed Project Natal Launch Date

Syed Bilal Tariq, a Microsoft Executive in Saudi Arabia, let some juicy details about Project Natal slip while being interviewed on a Saudi Arabian TV show, D’oh!  I wonder if someone from Washington sent a ninja assassin to silence this guy?  Tariq informed the reporter that Natal will, without a doubt, ship in October of 2010.

Project Natal is Microsoft’s entry in the motion-control fad.  It won’t use a controller like Sony and Nintendo, rather it’ll be all based on your movement via a camera system.  Imagine standing in your living room acting like a soldier while playing a shooter.  Natal will translate your movements to the screen and therefore move the character accordingly.  Sounds great on paper, but we’ll see how it truly plays out once real gamers get their hands on it.

If you want to check out the October 2010 Natal Launch announcement, click here to go to GamerTag Radio.  It may not be there much longer, because I’m sure MS is trying to squash this leak.  You’ve been privy to a secret…
