Schwarzenegger’s First Film Back Could be ‘The Last Stand’

I received a solid tip that Arnold Schwarzenegger’s return to the silver screen could in fact be in a movie called ‘The Last Stand’.  This Lionsgate picture directed by Kim Ji-Woon will be about a border patrol officer (Ahnold) and his rag-tag band of crime stoppers trying to stop a drug lord from making his way to Mexico.  ‘The Last Stand’ should appeal to car junkies, as it is being compared to ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’, and will feature the futuristic Gumpert Apollo race car, which will be used by the crack head as he tries to evade Ahnold’s team of law enforcers.

Arnold hasn’t fully committed to the role yet, but the negotiations are getting close to being finalized, so we should know within the next few weeks if the Governator will be making ‘The Last Stand’ his return to making movies.  Personally, I’m not 100% sold on the premise of this film, and how it fits with Arnold.  If there’s going to be a heavy focus on driving and racing around I’m not sure if Arnold makes for the best wheel man, but I could be wrong.

What are some of your thoughts on Arnold’s potentail first full acting gig post his political career?  As long as he still delivers his lines with that iconic accent and cocky attitude I’m sure the movie will be fine.  I was just hoping for a Commando 2, or one of the other over-the-top action films that suit the big fella so well, but I’ll take what I can get.  You’ve been asked about your Daddy and what he does by the greatest Kindergarten teacher of all-time…
