Come June 29th, we’ll all be able to explore the world(s) of Futurama from the comfort of our smartphone. Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow may be brought to you by Jam City and TinyCo, but they’ve been working with Executive Producers Matt Groening and David X. Cohen, as well as original writers from the show to create the first original, official Futurama content in years.

Neil deGrasse Tyson, Bill Nye, Stephen Hawking, and George Takei gather together in the trailer above to present the new Futurama content, but it’s not long before the laser guns come out.

Despite the humorous feud, Worlds of Tomorrow actually looks pretty promising. I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t pay much attention to mobile game releases—my gaming backlog is overflowing with games from just this year—but I have been counting the days until I can have this in my pocket wherever I go. Maybe I just miss Futurama. I don’t know.

Either way, Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow is coming next week. Let’s just hope Mom’s not behind this one.

“Making you a better geek, one post at a time!”

The author Zachery Bennett

Zach's eternal preoccupation with video games became cemented at an early age. His first memorable journey away from reality began with a text-based Football game on a dirty Apple II; he's chased fantasy ever since. Having took English classes as electives in college, Zach decided to pull the trigger on a merger between the two obsessions.
