Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, from the very beginning, has looked like a fascinating game. You can just feel that Dark Souls influence in the game oozing out of every pore, in the absolute best ways. The pacing in the Souls games is so tense and perfect, trying to get from bonfire to bonfire, and Sekiro is no different. I will say, the fights this time around look a lot harder than before, with how aggressive and fine-tuned your movements have to be.

However, being able to revive yourself once is a whole new mechanic, and it looks like it’ll lead to some unique play styles.

Or dying twice (cue laugh track).

There are tons and tons of unique items and tools for you to use, and I’m especially excited to just grapple everywhere. Ya boy has a fetish for grappling hooks, Rico Rodriguez can slide into my DMs anytime. Check out the trailer above and let us know what aspect of the game you’re most excited for!
