Shadow of Mordor Gets a Live Action Short From Corridor Digital

Sam and Niko of CorridorDigital have released one of the most ambitious and epic gaming in real life projects the YouTube all-stars have ever created in The Shadow of Mordor. The live action short is based on the upcoming Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor from Monolith Studios that is being distributed by WBIE.

The production value of this video game inspired action short is insane, especially since it’s just a YouTube project and not a Peter Jackson helmed Hollywood affair. The duo nail the look of the orcs and the world in general thanks to the fantastic practical makeup mixed with the VFX wizardry the Corridor Digital team has become known for.

The video focuses on the blunders of Krimp the Orc, who is tasked with making up for his failures by his Orc Chieftain. Unfortunately for Krimp, he runs into Talion, the main protagonist in the game this short is based on, and he gets up close and personal with his Wraith powers. You can watch the full video above, so carve out eight minutes for yourself and enjoy another superb video game in real life bit courtesy of YouTube and its stable of expert creators. You can check out a behind the scenes video after the break.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is set to hit the Xbox One and PS4 on September 30, 2014. The Xbox 360 and PS3 version will release soon after.
