Yesterday, Microsoft released an Xbox Wire post describing the Xbox One X enhancements for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and after reading about them, it’s hard to believe the game will look better on the PS4. PC, sure, but not the PS4 or the Pro version, which is due to the fact that the Xbox One X will support full native 4k resolutions, and HDR.
In fact, Shadow of the Tomb Raider will have two play modes on the Xbox One X. It will support the best resolution possible at the full native 4K at 30 FPS, and for those that want the best performance, they can opt for the 60 FPS 1080p mode. Both of which will provide Dolby Atmos sound profiles on the Xbox One X.
While a capable PC will be able to match and exceed the Xbox One X settings, the PS4 Pro can not, so if you are looking to play the game on a console with the best possible visuals or performance, then you should pick it up for the Xbox One X.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider hits the Xbox One, PS4, and PC on September 12 if you pre-ordered the Early Access edition.
