Halo is a franchise that is near and dear to the hearts of people all over the world, of all ages. It’s essentially the franchise that normalized first-person shooters on home consoles, and we, as a gaming community, owe it quiet a lot. Though there was certainly some fatigue with the series right around when the fifth main-entry game released, it has seen a huge resurgence lately. The entirety of the Master Chief Collection was announced to be coming to PC officially, and the sixth main entry is hopefully also coming this year.

The Showtime original series based on the game has just announced that Pablo Schreiber will be playing Master Chief. He’s known for his roles in Orange is the New Black and First Man, and has got some decent experience under his belt. I’m not sure if we’re ever going to see his face, I somewhat hope that we don’t, as it’s kinda tradition, minus that tiny sliver of his face we saw at one point. If we do see his face, I really hope that it’s either before he puts on the suit, or they do justice to the fact that it’s probably very pasty and wrinkly-looking.

It’ll be nice to finally have a full show based on the long-running series, it has certainly earned that kind of spotlight! Check out the report from EW.com here!
