Sony’s Santa Monica Studio Creatives Series Focuses on Character Artist Rafael Grassett

Sony and Santa Monica Studios have released a new video series that features an inside look at the talented developers and artists that make up the studio and have worked on some of its largest franchises, such as God of War.

In the first video Sr. Staff Character Artist Rafael Grassett’s journey from Brazil to the studio is retold in a very inspiring fashion, as he talks about his love of art, especially modeling clay, and how it led him to work in the gaming industry as a character artist. It’s a very well done video, so much so that I now want to work at Santa Monic Studios as a sculptor, but alas, the last time I played with a clay-like substance was as a kid, and I usually ended up eating my creations thanks to my weird taste for Play-Doh.

Head on up above to be inspired to follow your dreams wherever they may lead you.
