In February I posted about Stan Lee’s last appearance for comic cons in Canada would be the Fan Expo Canada this September. Now, it looks like attendees for the New York Comic Con will have their last chance to see the Generalissimo in person come this October.

In an email sent out today by the NYCC organizers, ReedPOP, they shared the news that it would be Lee’s final appearance. And while the email did not state why, we can assume it’s the same reason Lee explained regarding Fan Expo Canada, “I’m 93 years old. I don’t know how much longer I’ll be able to do it.”

For folks like myself who live in the Tri-State area this might be our last chance to see the man responsible for co-creating such properties as The Amazing Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four, The Incredible Hulk and so much more. So be sure to get your tickets.

In addition to this news ReedPOP also announced an additional step con goers will need to take in order to buy tickets this year: Fan Verifications. This important step will be a necessary requirement – read the full details here.
