We have approached a time in history where young geeks may not even know of the 8-bit gaming days of the past, because the art has all but disappeared due to the high end systems we have to play video games on these days.  For those born in the 80’s though, the 8-bit era will always remain a fond memory of their gaming origins.  Luckily we have artists out there like the great Andy Rash who still create 8-bit work to expose the art to the younger generations of geeks and gamers.  He has created a wonderful series of 8-bit Star Wars characters that reflect all of the original films perfectly with their expertly placed pixels.

It’s amazing how much detail he squeezed out of some plain old colored squares to faithfully recreate some of the more infamous Star Wars characters seen in the classics.  Take a trip down memory lane and witness the awesomeness of pixel art by checking out Rash’s Star Wars 8-bit collection!  You’ve been wondering if you can name all of these characters…
