It was starting to feel as if the next Skywalker Saga Star Wars film was never going to get a title, but that all changed today thanks to a tweet and video from the official Star Wars social media accounts. Star Wars Episode VIII is now known as Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi.

That’s a pretty foreboding title, or is it? Don’t forget that Jedi can also be the plural form of the word, so it may not indeed be implying that we will be left with only one Jedi by the end of Episode VIII. Anyway, more on that later. In the meantime check out the official announcement video and tweet below.

Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15th.
