‘Star Wars’ Franchise Getting the 3D Treatment in 2012

George Lucas has found another way to suck us Star Wars fanboys back into his money making machine.  Lucasfilm announced today that it will be releasing “The Phantom Menace” in 3D sometime in 2012.  The 5 remaining films will be released in subsequent years following the chronological order of the movies.  That means from 2012-2014 we will be treated to 3D versions of the below average prequels.

I don’t even know if I’ll be alive in 2015 when the the original trilogy hits theaters in 3D, which are the only Star Wars films I truly enjoy.  George really is a genius, because he knows even though a good chunk of us didn’t like the prequels we will still go and see them in 3D.  This is called fanboy rape, and I know I’ll be a victim.  You’ve been wondering if Hayden Christensen will blow as bad in 3D…
