Star Wars Rogue One Egg Attack Shoretrooper Action Figure Review

Collectibles are still coming out for Rogue One even though it came out almost a year and a half ago. Beast Kingdom has released two new Egg Attack figures based on characters in Rogue One, so being a fan of the line, I picked them up for toy photography purposes, and to provide a review for other Egg Attack collectors. If you haven’t seen the review for the Rogue One Death Trooper, you can check it out in our archive, because this review will focus on EAA-040, which is the Rogue One Shoretrooper.

This guy, like the Death Trooper, features a great sculpt and paint job, making him very easy on the eyes. I appreciated the subtle weathering effects on his armor, as well as the detailed helmet. Unlike the Death Trooper, the Shoretrooper’s hand pegs are a bit easier to work with, but he’s not without his faults. In fact, the right arm fell out of the shoulder connected with just a bit pressure applied, but after I forced it back into place, it remained there, but I still treat the arm as fragile at this point.

You can check out the full review of this Egg Attack figure in video form below.

You may still be able to find the Shoretrooper at Entertainment Earth or Amazon, but I’d move fast because he’s selling out!

EAA-040 Review Summary

Sculpt - 9.5
Build Quality - 7.5
Price - 7.5
Paint - 9.5

The sculpt on this little guy is awesome to behold in person, and the weathering effects on his armor are nice touches. The unit I reviewed did have a loose arm joint at the shoulder connection, so others may exhibit the same issue, or it could easily be a one off defect. Outside of that the Shoretrooper is a great addition to the Egg Attack line.
