Star Wars, The Avengers, and The Justice League Envisioned as Samurai

DeviantART member Alex Mitchell has a passion for all things geek, especially when it comes to the comic book scene.  This artist has created some amazing pieces rooted in geek lore with a splash of Asian culture.  Mitchell envisioned the likes of Luke, Han, the Avengers cast, and even the Justice League, as if they were ancient samurai warriors doing battle in feudal Japan.  The result is one of the more original geek art projects that I’ve seen on the pages of DeviantART, so I’ve decided to share the love on EB.

What’s even more impressive is that Mitchel even took the time to hash out backstories for nearly every samurai comic book character that he created.  I couldn’t show off one franchise without highlighting the others, so I decided to embed all of these works of art down below.  You can also read up on each character by following the links posted below the gallery.  You’ve just realized that you want to see an actual comic based on these mashed up characters…
