Star Wars Time: SDCC Collectibles and The Clone Wars is Returning

In the latest episode of Star Wars Time Nick and I went conning, well we actually just looked at images from SDCC on the Internet, but we made sure to highlight some of the cooler Star Wars items from the show floor. In particular, we really focused on Sideshow’s booth, which unveiled or provided new looks at over 100 collectibles, and a decent amount of them were Star Wars figures.

While discussing SDCC we kind of went on a tangent about cons and video game shows in general, so if you’ve never been to one, we provide a glimpse at what the con life is all about.

We then move on to a Star Wars Episode IX announcement, which involves a background character from The Force Awakens, who is supposedly returning for the final installment in this new trilogy. This character is none other than Snap Wexley, who is played by J.J. Abrams’ life-long pal, Greg Gruenberg. Greg hinted that Snap may be back for the finale, which Nick and I agreed that there’s no chance he doesn’t because Abrams always finds a way to get his homeboys into his movies, so Snap will be back piloting something in Episode IX. Take it to the bank!

The final leg of our conversation is dedicated to the amazing news that Star Wars: The Clone Wars is returning to Disney’s direct-to-consumer streaming platform, which we think will launch towards the end of 2019. So far only 13 episodes have been confirmed, and they are meant to fill in the gaps after the show’s final fifth season. This is an awesome announcement, and one that all fans should be very eager to consume when it releases. If you haven’t watch The Clone Wars you should do so now to get caught up for the new episodes. You won’t be disappointed (my hand is waving by the way)!

You can watch and listen above through YouTube, or you can listen in below through our web player and Stitcher player (may need time to let it update to newest episode). Finally, you can always subscribe to the show via one of the available platforms below.
