Star Wars Time: ‘Solo’ Toy Spoilers, Star Wars Resistance Filing, and Sad ‘Rebels’
In the latest episode of Star Wars Time, Nick and I discuss a litany of Star Wars related topics that popped up since the last time we talked about that galaxy that is so far, far away. We open the discussion with a bit of Solo talk, in particular, how a new toy reveal may spoil the first meeting of Han and Chewie in the film. We offer up our thoughts on what the figure set is portraying, and how it pays homage to old Star Wars legends tales that previously depicted the first meeting between Han and Chewie. Basically, we like what the toy spoiler showed off, and if our speculations come true, we feel that the best narrative direction for this iconic meeting will be achieved.
We also talked about how Jon Favreau is in Solo, and will be voicing a key alien character, one who may have already been shown in a trailer. If you’re keeping score he’s more than likely playing the four armed alien you see in the first teaser for Solo, but at this time we still don’t know who the character is, or what his role may be.
Star Wars Resistance turned up as a Lucasfilm filing two weeks ago, so Nick and I talk about what the license may be for. We think it will be for a new animated Star Wars series set just before the events, or during the events of the new Skywalker trilogy of films. It could be for a video game, but it’s more than likely for a project for the small screen, so stay tuned for more details.
Finally, we talk about the sad loss of a main Star Wars Rebels character, as well as the Gods of Mortis, who were first featured in The Clone Wars cartoon, but have since been featured in a recent episode of Star Wars Rebels.
I told you we were all over the map in this cast!
