Star Wars Time: The Planets of ‘Solo’ and the Lack of AAA Star Wars Games

In the latest episode of Star Wars Time, Nick and I talk about three potential planets that will be featured in Solo: A Star Wars Story, as well as its now revealed trailers. We then talk about the current state of Star Wars video games, which for the most part is non-existent in the AAA space. Unfortunately, Nick’s mic cuts out during the video game discussion, so a part of that thread had to be cut, but there was enough of the dialogue salvaged to offer up a few of our thoughts on the lack of big time Star Wars titles.

In terms of the planets to be featured in Solo, we riff on Kessel, Mimban, and Corellia, which AMC Theaters confirmed were going to be featured in the film in a since deleted post. We ramble about what scenes may take place on these planets, and wonder if any other locations will be present.

The shortened game segment offers up our thoughts on the lack of AAA Star Wars games since EA took over the license. We wonder why the publisher has only focused on mobile titles and the Battlefront franchise, especially when you consider how much material is available for new Star Wars games to be based on.
