The Legend of Zelda Wii U has been somewhat shrouded in a veil of mystery. Since E3, all we have seen was a brief glimpse at our dashing young hero, but no more. In this new trailer, viewers are given access to more than a few seconds of the new Zelda running on a Wii U. The game’s lead producer played through the game giving us a look at some of the basic controls as well as some new forms of combat.

Fans of Skyward Sword will be pleased to see a return of the parachute, and if the size of the world Link will be running about in is anything to go by, then so will other players. The map was so large, that Eiji Aonuma (playing) traveled a good few minutes before reaching the destination he set. Having an autopilot mode for Link’s steed Epona also means running into trees will no longer be a problem since, as stated, “Real horses don’t run into trees very often”.

Take a look for yourself at the exciting new demo and get pumped for The Legend of Zelda Wii U, for release sometime next year.
