Techland Announces Their Battle Royale Game ‘Dying Light: Bad Blood’

This might come as a shocker to many of you, but Battle Royale games are really popular. Techland, you know, the guys that made the incredible Dying Light, are now making a Battle Royale style game based in the Dying Light world. Dying Light: Bad Blood will be available in September through Steam Early Access on the PC by purchasing the Founder’s Pack for $19.99. I, for one, am excited to see what this game entails with all the parkour and zombies that were in the titular game. If you find yourself at PAX West, the game will be playable so make sure you check it out. Check out more information for the game below!

About Dying Light: Bad Blood:

Dying Light: Bad Blood – Jump into the Fight in September Early version launch window and further gameplay details revealed August 20, 2018 – Dying Light: Bad Blood, the online brutal royale game from Techland, will be available in September via Steam Early Access on PC. This fast-paced competitive multiplayer title creatively blends PvP and PvE action while retaining the core of Dying Light’s iconic gameplay. “We’ve always been keen to add more PvP multiplayer to Dying Light. We’ve read all of the messages from players on social media and forums, and multiplayer has been a hot topic. We’ve also seen how players have embraced Be the Zombie and that inspired us to expand on multiplayer. But we want to do it in the Dying Light way, where this world swarming with infected is just as much a threat as the other players.” — says Maciej Łączny, Executive Producer.

“This is how Dying Light: Bad Blood came to life, a game based on these key principles: the freedom and fast pace of parkour movement, the constant threat of the Infected, and the creative brutality of melee combat. Combined they offer an all-new brutal royale experience. Now we encourage the community to help us fine-tune the game before its release.” Players are invited to join us and be part of Dying Light: Bad Blood’s evolution, by playing the game early and giving us their feedback. The game will be constantly improved according to what players tell us. During the early access phase, Dying Light: Bad Blood will be playable by purchasing the Founder’s Pack, which not only grants access to the game before its final release but also includes in-game content available only to Founders.

The $19.99* Founder’s Pack provides in-game currency and exclusive items, including the Founder’s Pass that will deliver 3 Legendary skins throughout the 3 months following the Early Access launch. During the early access phase the team will work hard not only on balancing the core aspects of the game, with community feedback playing a big role in defining that vision. There will also be free content updates that will include new maps, modes and in-game items as frequent Drops, which fans of the original Dying Light will be familiar with. Dying Light: Bad Blood is intended to be a free-to-play game on PC and consoles and will transition to this model when the early access phase is concluded.

12 go in. 1 comes out. Get competitive and get blood on your hands in the all-new brutal royale experience. Join Bad Blood and desperately fight to survive in a city swarming with infested. 12 players enter. Only one can leave. Scavenge for weapons, destroy zombie hives to level up, and combine your advanced parkour mobility with brutal combat skills to outrun, outsmart, and outplay your opponents.
