Tequila Works’ New Puzzle Adventure ‘RiME’ Gets Release Date

A couple months ago, we covered the announcement trailer for RiME, developer Tequila Works’ puzzling, majestic new adventure. The trailer easily instills a sense of magical curiosity, and now there’s an official release date to satiate the anticipation: May 26th.

RiME will debut on PC, PS4, and Xbox One with physical and digital copies ringing up at $29.99. The Nintendo Switch is not left out, however, it will take a small window of time before it’s seen on the console. Even though the selected retail price of the Switch version is ten bucks more ($39.99), it does look like a pretty perfect game for the Switch’s portable nature. RiME’s description in a press release certainly makes it sound worth a lighter wallet:

RiME is a single-player puzzle adventure game about discovery, experienced through the eyes of a young boy who awakens on a mysterious island after shipwrecking off its coast. Players must navigate the island’s secrets by making use of light, sound, perspective and even time. Inspired by the rugged, sunbaked terrain of the Mediterranean coast, RiME paints its breathtaking world with a fusion of vibrant colours and moving musical undertones to set the stage for the deeply personal journey that awaits within.
