Titan Books has a new art book that fans of the Assassin’s Creed franchise may want to look into if they want more insights into the newest entry in the franchise, Assassin’s Creed Origins. The Art of Assassin’s Creed Origins features 208 super glossy pages that feel sturdy in your hand and offer up plenty of concept art to appreciate. In addition to the art, there are also plenty of insights provided by author Paul Davies as he relates the journey of the game’s art design to the reader. Paul didn’t work on the game, rather he worked with those who had a hand in its design to capture their own takes on why certain design choices were made for the finished game.
The book is broken into 10 chapters that follow the course of the game’s plot, so they start with the protagonist, and carry through to the modern timeline featured in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. I went ahead and did a video review of the book so you could see what it looks like inside rather than read my thoughts on it, so you can check that out below.
It really is a great book for fans of the franchise, or those who like to learn about video game design from industry pros. You can pick it up from Amazon for less than $30.
