The First Hitman: Agent 47 Trailer is Kinda Awesome

The first trailer for Hitman: Agent 47 has been released, and unlike other movies based on video games this project doesn’t appear to suck at the moment.

Homeland’s Rupert Friend stars as the titular character and does resemble an uncanny likeness to the infamous hitman in the video game franchise. Zachary Quinto also stars in the film, and he appears to be the good guy trying to help out the damsel in distress.

The action looks intense and in your face, but only time will tell if the full narrative holds up. In the mean time check out the first trailer for Hitman: Agent 47 above and then head on down below to check out its complimentary poster.

Hitman: Agent 47 is set to hit theaters on August 28, 2015.

About Hitman: Agent 47

The film centers on an elite assassin who was genetically engineered from conception to be the perfect killing machine, and is known only by the last two digits on the barcode tattooed on the back of his neck. He is the culmination of decades of research – and forty-six earlier Agent clones — endowing him with unprecedented strength, speed, stamina and intelligence. His latest target is a mega-corporation that plans to unlock the secret of Agent 47’s past to create an army of killers whose powers surpass even his own. Teaming up with a young woman who may hold the secret to overcoming their powerful and clandestine enemies, 47 confronts stunning revelations about his own origins and squares off in an epic battle with his deadliest foe.
