‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ Run Time Revealed Plus New Photos

In an interview with Empire magazine Peter Jackson revealed that The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will take about 2 hours and 40 minutes (could be longer with credits and additional VFX scenes) to get through, which is a little shorter than Fellowship‘s run time.  In addition to announcing the film’s run time, Empire also ran five distinct covers featuring the cast of The Hobbit.
