It was announced recently that ‘The Hobbit’ film will be in 3D just like every other movie that comes out these days. Thanks James! Don’t get me wrong, 3D done right as we saw in ‘Avatar’ can add to a movie’s allure, but 3D done wrong as we saw in ‘Clash of the Titans’ can really take a sh*t on the audience’s eyes. I would imagine that Peter Jackson will make sure the 3D is done right for ‘The Hobbit’, but I’d imagine he’s more concerned with getting the project greenlit. ‘The Hobbit’ still has yet to get the official go ahead because of all of the financial issues that MGM has been having. If that wasn’t bad enough, there’s also a call to arms for actors not to work on the film because it won’t be unionized (Pussies!).
Like I said, who cares about the 3D I just want the damn movie to start filming. We were supposed to get the first dose of ‘The Hobbit’ in 2012 with the second helping coming in 2013. I don’t really see that happening now considering the movie hasn’t even begun filming, and for a picture of this size it usually takes a year or two just to get it in the can. Hopefully Peter Jackson will take on directing duties as well as his producer role, and this catastrophe will start filming. I’m really anxious to see this movie because the Tolkien Universe is awesome, and Peter Jackson knows how to treat it. Yes, I’m a geek, thank you! You’ve been wanting to see Bilbo chilling with his homies in 3D…
