‘The Hobbit’ Wraps First Block of Filming in 2nd Production Video

The second behind the scenes production video for Peter Jackson’s ‘The Hobbit’ prequels has been posted for our viewing pleasure, and it features the final shoot for the first production block of these massive films.  Jackson has decided to shoot the two movies together, but in three different blocks so they can break up the 254 days of shooting that have been planned for the films.  This second production diary highlights this process, and it also goes through what the main crew will be doing on their break.  Unfortunately, for Jackson himself, it doesn’t look like he’ll be taking a break anytime soon.  He has to begin post-production on the first block of filming, as well as pre-production on the next block of shoots.  It ain’t easy being the care taker of Tolkien’s world on the big screen!  You’ve been wishing that it was December 2012…
