“The Last Airbender” Movie Gets the 3D Treatment and New Trailer

“The Last Airbender” has officially jumped on the 3D bandwagon.  It was announced yesterday through the new trailer for the film that debuted on Apple’s site.  This 3D stuff is getting out of control.  I wonder how long before someone gets brain damage, or their eyes get permanently crossed?  I’m down for the challenge.  I could always use some BS excuse to sue someone for a quick buck.

Lawsuits aside, this new trailer for “The Last Airbender” looks very promising.  I think the only thing that can bring this special effects heavy movie down is the acting.  I just hope it’s not too over the top.  Sometimes with young actors the performances come off as a little too stiff or serious.  Outside of the acting the action scenes and special effects look very sharp.  Hopefully the 3D will be done in the same manner as “Avatar”, and not go for the gimmicky, in your face shots, with the various elemental attacks that the characters utilize.

“The Last Airbender” is set to hit theaters on July 2.  I want this movie to be badass, so hopefully Night won’t let us down.  Check out the trailer below.

You’ve been enlightened…
