The Last Barfighter Arcade Game Rewards Gamers with Real Beer

Adam Carroll and Owen Tingle are the geniuses behind The Last Barfighter, which is an old school arcade cabinet based game that actually dispenses beer to the winner of each match.  To make a long story short they were tasked with doing something creative at their real job, and The Last Barfighter is what they came up with.

They partnered with the Big Boss Brewing Company who provides the brew for the winner.  I’m not talking about a bartender or waitress providing the beer either.  The actual arcade cabinet dispenses the winner’s drink automatically just like those stupid ass tickets you used to win to trade in for a crappy erasers at your local arcade.

The game itself is a fighter in the vein of Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter, and it features a stable of 5 fighters.  Their names are all based on the Big Boss beers they represent.  Drunken gamers can choose from Hell’s Belle, Bad Penny, Angry Angel, Blanco Diablo and High Roller to take into battle.  Each character has your typical fighting game move set, as well as their own special attack.  If you win your match you’ll get a special beer reward based on which fighter you chose.

To see The Last Barfighter in action you should check out the short video after the break.  I can tell you that I’d definitely be spending some time on this machine if I lived near the Big Boss Brew Co.  Nothing like kicking ass and getting buzzed at the same time.  You’ve been loving the lengths drunks go to to drink their precious beer…
