For years, The Last Guardian has mired in something of a development hell.

Months have turned to years without any real information regarding the game, with rumors swirling about its cancellation or indefinite hiatus.

Tonight, at the start of Sony’s E3 presser, The Last Guardian rose to once more become the center of everyone’s attention.

The Last Guardian’s E3 trailer, which can be seen above, is something that needs to be seen to really be believed. It’s larger than life in every sense of the world, exuding the subtletl emotional touch that Team Ico’s games have been praised for while carrying itself with a sort of timeless sense of wonderment.

As if watching The Last Guardian’s trailer wasn’t enough, the game has been confirmed to release on the PlayStation 4 some time next year. After nearly a decade of waiting, a few more months doesn’t seem so bad.
