The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Looks Stunning

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has a great title.

Seriously, read it a few times. Now say it out loud. It’s a series of words that just sound right together.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild also looks like a meaningful departure from previous entries in the venerable franchise.

During Nintendo’s E3 reveal, Breath of the Wild was the bell of the video game ball. Though it was announced a few years back, the above trailer served as the gaming world’s first major look at the much anticipated new Zelda title.

There’s a big world to explore, and it’s one that Link — Zelda’s recurring hero — seems to be able to interact with in a much more meaningful way than past entries. Throughout the reveal trailer, Link is seen sneaking up and taming horses, burning (hopefully) controlled wildfires, and a handful of other interesting activities.

Most compelling, however, was Link’s ability to seemingly do some kind of terraforming. Throughout Breath of the Wild’s reveal, Link is seen interacting with the environment by creating and altering objects. At one point, he lifts a large plank above the heads of his foes and drops it down on them suddenly. Another time, the Hero of Time summons a large block of ice from a lake.

There are no real answers about Link’s available skills just quite yet. The only truth right now is that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild looks pretty spectacular.
