The CineFix channel has once again wowed me with their patented homemade recreations of famous movie scenes and trailers. This week they tackled the rooftop bullet time scene from The Matrix where Neo breaks out his super moves for the first time. What’s so amazing about the homemade version of this scene is the fact that it doesn’t contain a single VFX trick! It’s au naturel in every sense of the word, which just goes to show you how talented these amateur filmmakers really are. I especially appreciated how they shot Neo’s bullet time dance, because it really does provide the illusion that the actor playing him is floating in mid-air without the use of special effects and computer wizardry.
