‘The Simpsons’ Opening Takes a Shot at Fox and Chinese Labor

I think it’s safe to say that a majority of people in this world have watched ‘The Simpsons’ at least once in their life.  We’ve all become familiar with the opening and the trademark bit where the family ends up on the couch watching the TV in some form or fashion.  I haven’t been watching the show lately, but I guess a recent episode took the opening bit to a whole new level.  After watching it I’d say Matt Groening, the man behind ‘The Simpsons’, definitely has some beef with Fox, or he’s really upset with Chinese labor laws.

It’s a powerful message for a cartoon and while watching it you don’t know if you should laugh, or if you should join the cause against Communism.  We all know China uses questionable labor practices, so I don’t know if Matt is highlighting this issue, or portraying what his relationship with Fox feels like.  All seriousness aside, it is a funny take on the horrible conditions that Chinese laborers face.  I mean who knew that dead dolphin tongues could be used for packaging tape, or that the unicorns aren’t really gone after all!  You have to check it out below.  You’ve been impressed with how much a cartoon can make you think about life…

Hopefully Fox doesn’t take down the clip…Commies!
