The Solo: A Star Wars Story Trailer Gets Significantly Better With Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage” Edit

The War Starts at Midnight Podcast should be hired by Lucasfilm marketing thanks to the team’s efforts in recutting and mixing the Solo: A Star Wars Story trailer. You see, they felt that the initial cut of the trailer was too similar to the trailer for Abrams’ first Star Trek film, so they took it upon themselves to spice it up a bit.

It turns out all they needed to do was shift a few clips around and lay them over the Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage” to make the first teaser for Solo: A Star Wars Story feel more awesome than ever before. The beats just hit harder, and the action seems tightened up when set to the Boys’ iconic tune, so I do think this version of the trailer is much better than what Lucasfilm actually put out. It’s an example of the great shit that can come from the Internet when it’s not being used to destroy the world as we know it. Head on up above to check out this awesome remix of the first Solo teaser.
