“The Strain” Is Almost Upon Us

Guillermo del Toro’s new TV thriller The Strain is set to debut next week after much anticipation. Del Toro (Pacific Rim, Pan’s Labrynth, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey) brings his book trilogy to the small screen as FX’s lineup of shows continues to grow and compete with other major networks.

The story follows Dr. Ephraim Goodweather and his team as they are sent to investigate corpses when bodies start disappearing from morgues. Goodweather and company work to protect themselves and the city from a viral outbreak of ancient vampirism.

It’s expected that the series will be from 3-5 seasons, as the books written by Del Toro and Chuck Hogan are not open-ended.

Be sure to check it out on July 13th at 10pm.
