Activision and Treyarch have released the launch trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and thanks to the action and rap it features, it smacks you in the face. The trailer is meant to show off the game’s three unique gameplay modes, which are Multiplayer, Zombies, and Battle Royale. That’s right, this is the first Call of Duty game in recent memory to forgo a single player campaign mode, which quite frankly is a bummer for someone like me.
Playing a COD campaign has become a fall-time staple in gaming, so the lack of one in Black Ops 4 is akin to Halloween being cancelled in my opinion. It’s hard to get fully amped for this entry — mostly because I’m not a huge FPS multiplayer guy anymore — so I’m not overly amused about a COD game that has gone balls deep with competitive game modes. That’s just me though, so I expect other gamers and COD fans to be amped up for this release, especially after the much lauded Battle Royale beta from a week ago.
The game is set to drop on October 12 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, so head on up above to see what’s in store.
