Sony just announced another reason to sign up for their Playstation Plus service with the reveal that Telltale’s first two episodes of their The Walking Dead game will be free for PS + subscribers. Beginning on August 7th all PS + users will have access to these critically acclaimed episodes for the low price of $0. These are just two games that are part of the Playstation Plus Instant Game Collection, which changes each month.
Sony has really made a case for their yearly subscription service with offers likes this, and for the money I definitely think PS+ is a better value than XBL. Unfortunately, I think Sony waited too long to introduce PS+ and its benefits to gamers. By the time it launched a few years ago many gamers had already turned to the online services of Microsoft’s Xbox Live. Live is still a much better way to game with your friends, but I must say that PS+ is definitely a better value for the money. This is especially clear when you get new free games to download each month to keep and play until you quit the service.
