CD Projeck RED, Polish developers of The Witcher fame, have send news that the team has relocated to a new studio in Cracow, Poland’s second largest studio. The move to a new studio is said to be in an effort to reinvigorate the team as they work on two of the most anticipated games to date – The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077.
Adam Badowski, Head of CDPR, spoke excitedly about the move and the studios’ future:
“A new studio, new people, new energy – we’re growing and we’re extremely excited that we can tap into the potential that Cracow has to offer. We want to continue to make better and better RPGs and the new studio is another big step in that direction. Cracow, one of the cultural and scientific centers of Europe, is a really special place that will leave a significant mark on our games.”
CDPR have made a name for themselves for consistantly creating absolutely amazing RPGs, as well as being friendly and open to fan suggestions. Moving to a larger studio should only serve to broaden their horizons.
