This AT-AT Star Wars Halloween Costume Wins the Galaxy

AT-AT005

Halloween is upon us, which means it’s time to play dress up like a kid again. Adults may not be able to go begging for candy, but that doesn’t mean that they still can’t have a little fun on 10/31. Rather than dressing up for treats adults dress up for parties, and sometimes the costumes present at these grown up affairs are more authentic and creative than the store bought disguises kids sport. While fumbling through the vast pages of the Internet I came across a homemade costume for adults that is simply radical.

A creative geek by the name of Ismael on the Costume Works website formulated a plan to dress up as an AT-AT from the Star Wars universe. Every fan of Lucas’ space opera surely has dreamed about owning one of these four legged walkers that first appeared on the snowy battlefields of Hoth, but few have probably thought of actually becoming one. Well, Ismael did just that. Using only homemade items and dollar store purchases he created an AT-AT costume for him and his wife to wear. The result is nothing short of awesome.

You can check out this amazing costume via a few images of it after the break. Just make sure to soak in all of the details because the costume truly is a special homage to that galaxy that is so far, far away. I’ve seen my fair share of Star Wars cosplay, but I have to give Ismael’s AT-AT tandem costume respect for the sheer amount of creativity that went into it. God bless geeks and their passions!
