The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker was a controversial entry in the Zelda franchise thanks to the new cel-shaded visual design it sported. Link, for all intents and purposes, looked like a cute little cherub-like figure that you’d expect to see in a Saturday morning cartoon, rather than in a video game about saving the world and a princess from the demon wizard Ganondorf. Say what you will about the game’s visual design, because the gameplay, as it is in most Zelda games, is the star of Wind Waker.

Personally, I appreciated the new art direction, so there’s a great chance I’ll be picking up the newly announced Link figure from the Good Smile Company. This Nendoroid of Link can be styled in various poses with different items to reflect moments from the game. You can have him swinging the Master Sword, celebrating heart containers, or waving his magic wand.

The figure stands four inches tall and comes with Link’s sword and shield, as well as the other items mentioned above. It will retail for $49.99, and ships this November. Head on down past the break to check out some images of this particular Link figure in action. If you’re interested in pre-ordering this lovely collectible you can do so after the images.
